Where or When? (2021)
Where or When? was the pilot project of Typecast Anonymous Productions. Due to the global pandemic, it made coming to show impossible. However, Typecast and its co-production company, Infinite Imagination Traveling Theatre, knew that this was a story that needed to be heard. On April 18th, they filmed the show at the Bailey Theatre in Camrose, Alberta. Below, you will find all the information on the cast, story and where to see it for yourself! As said in the dedication, this story goes out to small towns everywhere!
THE CAST
Mike Hicks is co-founder of Infinite Imagination Traveling Theatre. He has been performing and involved in theatre for over 25 years. He has been involved in several different community theatre groups including 20 years with Churchmice Players, (being president of the board for at least 6 years). He has directed major productions like The Three Musketeers, Of Mice and Men, A Christmas Story and Noises Off. He has performed in over 15 musicals, over a dozen one acts and a dozen comedies and dramas. Actor , Director and producer in all forms of theatre, he considers himself a “Story Teller” and has a deep passion for the arts. He has also been a member of the board for The Bailey Theatre for the past four years.
Liam McKinnon is a 22 year old actor from Sherwood Park, Alberta. He graduated from MacEwan University’s Theatre Arts program in 2019, was a member of Theatre Calgary’s Shakespeare By the Bow 2019 production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, an extra for the television shows JANN and A Teacher, and was the leading voice actor for an upcoming animated project, The Wilder Family Web. Grace is an 18 year old actor from Ardrossan, Alberta. Performing since she was 13 years old, Grace has fallen in love with theatre over the years. From acting in 20+ productions to directing jr. high one acts, Grace always puts on a captivating performance. Originally cast in the 2019 one act performance of “Where or When”, Grace is very excited to be performing the show again on a new stage for new faces.
Claire Aldridge is an actress currently attending the University of Alberta for a BA in drama. She fell in love with theatre at a young age and has since been a part of many productions such as Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella, The Unforgetting, Nine, and Shrek the Musical. She also had the opportunity to study at the Stratford Festival as a part of their Theatre Performance Intensive Program. This is her first time with Typecast Anonymous Productions and she is very excited to be a part of the cast.
Kiara Corkett is an 18 year old actress from Edmonton, Alberta. She has been acting since she was 11 years old and is an aspiring film actress. She has acted in projects such as musicals, one acts and film productions. Kiara also has an interest in the production aspect and has stage managed a production entitled ‘Unity 1918’. Kiara is very excited for this performance.
THE FILM
THE SCRIPT
Synopsis: Frank, Julie, and Ma Miller are a family of lifelong farmers. After Pa’s death, Frank feels the responsibility of the farm becoming an increasing weight on himself. With Julie leaving for the city and Ma becoming more of a burden than a help, the pillars are crumbling around him. Suddenly, an old friend appears that throws a wrench into the downward spiral of the farm.
THE SOUNDTRACK

RED by John Logan (2022)
In 2022, Typecast once again partnered with Infinite Imagination Traveling Theatre to bring RED to the stages of Wetaskiwin and Camrose. This popular work came at a time when audiences were finally able to return to the theatre. The story itself deeply resonated for both Mike (Rothko) and Jonathan (Ken) and we hope that it did the same for the audiences who saw it during the three show run.
